RetroFit Stair Tread Kits for Removing Carpet & Adding Wood Tread to your Stairs
RetroFit treads are used for stair remodels when you need to remove carpet and add a hardwood tread without having to reframe everything.
These treads are Red Oak with moulding / trim already attached. The riser is included and has a stain grade side and a paint grade side.
Easy Installation - Remove carpet, replace existing 2x10/12 with a 2x8 (usually, may not apply to all stairs), glue down tread and riser with wood glue, use a few tack nails, paint / stain.

The Stair Brothers are two staircase enthusiasts with over 26 years of stair remodel expertise. We are one of the few dealers who stock parts (the majority of them drop-ship). Items are stocked and shipped out of Houston, Tx. We only stock high quality stair parts that meet all staircase building code standards. Our main goal is to deliver you quality parts in a timely manner so that your staircase project is both fast and affordable.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
All orders are shipped out within 24-48 house. Transit time typically takes 3-6 days anywhere in the main 48 US states. We do not ship internationally.
Orders under 150 pounds typically ship UPS or Fedex ground and orders over 150 pounds will ship on a heavy freight carrier. If you want to know how your order will ship, please contact us first. Heavy freight carriers will bring the pallet to the back of the truck and off-load it box by box. If you want a lift-gate service (they take it off the truck and bring it to your garage) you will need to work and pay that fee directly to the carrier.
We take back returns up to 30 days from the date you receive your product. Returns must be in original condition. In the event that we made a mistake or parts were damaged in transit, we can typically re-ship those for free.
PAYMENT
Payment is required upfront before shipment. We accept PayPal and Credit Cards through PayPal.
