Bokken - African Ebony (Hon Kokutan) - Full Set of 3

Description

Listed here are a VERY RARE full set of bokken
hand crafted from African Ebony (Hon Kokutan).
These bokken were custom made for me in 2006 and have been used only for display.
If you have been looking for Hon Kokutan Bokken, you know that this set does not exist and cannot be purchased anywhere else!!
They have NEVER touched another weapon, and have been held by only me and their creator.
I have kept them well preserved and oiled with Tung Oil.
Though they are heavy, the movement of these weapons is smooth and fluid.
Although not designed for it (the style is tsubanashi - the transition from handle to blade is smooth), each bokken comes with its own tsuba (hand guard).

Katana - Length 41 1/8 inches (117.16 cm)
Wakazashi - Length 26 inches (66.04 cm) (VERY RARE !!)
Tanto - Length 13 1/8 inches (33.34 cm)
Lengths and weights are slightly greater than those listed by SEIDO (the current premier makers and sellers of this type of bokken) because I had these custom made.
(These were NOT made by SEIDO! The craftsman who created these has passed away.)
Hon Kokutan exotic wood has become exceedingly rare and you will soon not be able to purchase bokken made from this material!!
